Who Are We
The Chapel Health Care Team are health care workers and volunteers who
are members of the congregation of All Souls’ Chapel, Ile-Ife.
History
At the meeting of the Health Care Workers, All Souls’ Chapel held on
Sunday 13th of January, 2019 to deliberate on medical missions and
health services, it was acknowledged that the existing Health Team in
the Chapel needed repositioning to meet the health challenges of the
congregation while collaborating in medical mission. The previous effort
of the team coordinators; Prof. O.B. Fasubaa and Mrs. T. I. Amire who served
as the Chairman and Deputy Chairperson respectively were appreciated.
Thereafter, a committee of 5 members was set up to deliberate on
repositioning the health team for optimum health service delivery
within the Chapel. Members of the committee were; Dr. O. Ogunlade
(Convener), Mrs. T. I. Amire, Mrs. A.O. Adeloye, Prof. O.O. Orafidiya
and Dr. O.A. Talabi. The committee eventually prepared a report
which was adopted the Health Care Workers at another meeting. The report
was subsequently submitted to the Chapel Council ably led by Prof. Grace
Onawumi. The Chapel Council ratified the report and set up a committee
known as Chapel Health Care Committee (CHCC) as a Service Unit to coordinate
the Chapel Health Services with effect from May 26, 2019. In a collaborative
effort involving the CHCC, the Chaplain (Rev. Dr. S.A Adeniyi), the Chapel
Council, the Chapel Building and Maintenance Committee ably led by its Chairman,
Eng. K. B. Adeloye, a befitting Chapel Health Post located within the Chaplaincy
Building Complex was established, equipped and commissioned on Saturday,
September14th, 2019.
The Terms of Reference of Chapel Health Care Committee are to;
a. coordinate the Chapel Health Post/Clinic and ensure its smooth running;
b. coordinate the Chapel’s Medical Missions;
c. facilitate the periodic Health Talks in the Chapel;
d. organize the Chapel Health Week; and
e. advice Council on any matter pertaining to the Chapel Health Post, its administration and its disbursement.

Health Care Services of Chapel Health Care Team
Members of The Chapel Health Care Team include voluntary health care workers in the following categories of professions;
a. Periodic Health Talk
Health Talk plays prominent role in the enlightenment of the congregation to take healthful actions. Hence, the CHCC organizes health talk for 10minutes on specific health concern or prevalent disease during the service every second Sunday of the Month.
b. Chapel Health Week
The second week of every September is dedicated as Chapel Health Week. Activities during the week include; health screening and health education.
c. Monthly Exercise Programme
The Chapel Health Care committee organized monthly exercises for body fitness. This takes place every second Saturday of the month.
d. Medical Mission
In collaboration with the Evangelical and Counseling Committee, the Chapel Health Care Team periodically carry out medical outreaches.
