The Chapel Council (CC) is the governing body of All Souls Chapel. Members of the CC consists of:
a) Chapel Officers who include- Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Chapel Treasurer, Treasurer, Chapel Building and Maintenance Committee (CBMC), Financial Secretary and Auditor
b) Appointees of the Council: Chaplain, Assistant Chaplain, Music Director/Organists, Legal Adviser
c) Chairpersons of Chapel Committees (by office): Chairperson, Finance and General Purpose Committee (Chairperson of Council), ii. Chairperson, CBMC, and Chairperson, Chapel Services Committee, (Chaplain)
d) Chairpersons of Chapel Committees (appointed by Council on the recommendation of the Committee) Evangelism & Counselling Committee, Welfare Committee, Choir Affairs Committee, Sunday School Committee, Harvest Committee, Bible Study Committee, Prayer Committee.
e) Heads of Service Units/Bodies: Sunday School Superintendent, Chief Usher, Coordinator, Guild of Chapel Keepers. Chairperson, Lay readers Fellowship, Chairman, Fellowship of Ministers
f) President or representatives of the following fellowships for the time being registered in the Chapel: All Souls Evangelical Fellowship (ASEF), Chapel Youth Fellowship (CYF), Good News Fellowship (GNF), Men’s Christian Fellowship (MCF), Nigerian Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF), Torch Bearers Fellowship (TBF), Women’s Christian Fellowship (WCF)
g) Representative of Board of Trustee.
The Chapel Officers (above) are elected by the Congregation after screening to serve for a period of two years and are eligible for reelection for another term of two years only. The Legal adviser and Music Director are appointed to serve for three years.
The CC is responsible for
1. Initiating policies in relation to the overall administration of the affairs of the Chapel in keeping with the stated aims and objectives of the Chapel
2. The collection and expenditure of money in connection with the Chapel
3. The general supervision, direction and overseeing of the Chapel building, furniture and other properties
4. The appointment of the Chaplain, the Assistant Chaplain and other staff of the Chapel
5. Setting in motion the machinery for the appointment of a new Chaplain twelve months before the expiration of the contract of employment of the incumbent Chaplain
6. The welfare, promotion and discipline of all the employees of the Chapel
7. Coordinating the activities of all committees, service units/bodies and fellowships of the Chapel
8. Convening Congregational meetings
9. Any other matters relating to the management of the Chapel, and
10. Such other matters as the Congregation may, from time to time, refer to it.
