History
The Nigerian Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF) was set up as a post-graduation fellowship to equip its members after completing their education, to live successfully as lights in the society. It is one of the first formally organized fellowships in Nigeria targeted at nonstudents.
The launching service of the Nigerian Christian Graduate Fellowship was held at the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, on the 23rd August, 1975. The late Dr. Byong H. Koto, the renowned Nigerian theologian, spoke at the occasion on “The role of the Christian Graduate in Nation Building”
The Nigerian Christian Graduate Fellowship is concerned about representing Christ effectively in society and, consequently, seeks to bring a Christian perspective to all issues of life. It also believes that education is an important tool for society’s development and thus encourages its members to engage constructively with society, bringing all their God-given faculties and the expertise they have acquired from their training to bear on all matters.
Membership of the Nigerian Christian Graduate Fellowship is open to all holders of postsecondary degrees who are willing to live in their communities as true and faithful disciples of Christ.
